This probably isn't kosher...

There is a waiting child who has been waiting for a family for a long time. He was one of the files my husband and I looked at and ultimately, our agency steered us away from him, because his age is so close to Gabriel's. He's been a waiting child since the time that Lana was a "waiting child".

If you come to my blog because you are considering older child adoption, please have a look at this sweet little fellow. There is grant money for him, but, time is running out on the grant.

I want to add my plug for this little boy as well. But really, I want to advocate for boys in general. They are so much fun! My boys give me the most hugs, always have a joke for me when I'm feeling down, and are the most apt to comment on how I look. This is positive, btw, as in, "Mommy, you look so pretty today!" My girls are more likely to comment that they like a piece of clothing, but to get unabashed adoration I have to go looking for one of my boys. I know there are a lot of prospective adoptive parents out there who think they want a girl. But, you have no idea what you're missing. So, go look at this little boy....and all the others who are waiting, really just because they're boys and not girls.

IF we weren't so recenlty home I'd do what I could to bring him to our home.
Convinced we are in for one more child it rips at my heart to see a little guy wait so long. We have room for one more and there is a spot in my heart for a son, not that I don't love all the princesses running around the place.
DH has to be convinced now, something only God can do.

What a cutie! Despite being knocked up, and still broke from Kinhly's adoption, I still look through waiting child lists. Matt would totally kill me though. he's definitly the sane one of our family!

For those in Ohio (or midwest for that matter), be sure to check the Akron Beacon Journal. They often post ads for adoption disruptions of international children already adopted to US families but the family reneged on the adoption.
