His name starts with a T

Finally got a call back from the Vietnam program coordinator. She told me a little bit about this little boy. Sadly, I didn't catch what his name is exactly. It's possibly Tung or Thanh. He is 2.5 years old. He is in Ho Chi Minh City, in a foster home. They are sending his file via overnight mail, to us and to us alone. No one else will see the file, so, if we feel like he is ours, he will be ours. We won't have to fight another family for him.

More soon,
LM

Okay, here's what L~ (Vietnam coordinator) said:

Date of birth is December 11, 2003.
The birth mother ran away from the hospital. He had meningitis as a very small infant, but, his hearing does not seem to have been affected. He was sent to an orphanage outside of HCMC in February 2004. In August of 2005 he was placed with a foster family. She said the file indicates he "loves the foster mother". She didn't mention foster siblings. She said he is "healthy and developmentally on-target". Um, trying to remember anything else. I'm just shaking with anticipation!!

Oh wow oh wow... you took good notes! Are you just falling in love already? I can almost picture that tiny little baby at the hospital. That is so good he is attached to his foster-mom ... it means he'll have an easier time attaching to his new family. :-) Will the FedEx come to your work or your house? The day our referral came it took FOREVER for FedEx to come - like until about 2:45. I thought I was going to go crazy!

Nicki - our agency always sends pictures by fedex, never email. Does add a bit to the suspense, doesn't it LM? :-)
