I've seen *just* enough of divorce among friends and family to know that I would never want to get involved. I can only imagine why you'd hate it. Blah.

I am a 40 year old husband (at least for now) and father of two beautiful little girls, Emma(5) and Lily(3). I have been "officially" separated from my wife for around a year and a half now. I have lived the pain of divorce, but what is so incrediblly sad to me, is to see what this is doing to my children.
I, too, hate divorce court. I hate the society in which I live for promoting selfishness, greed, pride, and all of the other crap that fuels a person's actions in divorce. I hate the fact that there is so little integrity left in the world, and so much willingness to blame. I hate the fact the there is no shortage of people who are clueless but willing to give bad advice out of their own ignorance and character faults. I hate the fact that our society places more value on money then the family, and that there are many people who have jumped on the divorce train to get rich while helping to tear families apart to satisfy their own greed. "Well, if I don't do it, someone else will."
I can't imagine what it would be like to be a divorce attorney and have to spend your career doing this? How can anyone stand that? I know I would probably want to kill myself after a few days. I would rather live in poverty then to make my living helping Satan destroy lives.
